Comprehensive Environmental Testing You Can Trust

From soil and water quality assessments to compliance-driven laboratory analysis, GreenShepherd delivers precise testing solutions that meet industry standards and empower informed decision-making.

Testing

Reliable laboratory testing and classification are central to effective waste management and construction projects. GreenShepherd provides a wide range of accredited testing services in accordance with WM3, BS EN, and WRAP standards.

Waste Classification (Air Dried)

Under WM3 Guidance, soils and materials must be classified as hazardous or non-hazardous. Our air-dried waste classification testing provides an accurate assessment of contaminant concentrations, ensuring correct handling, treatment, or disposal routes.

Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC)

WAC testing evaluates the leachability of contaminants, determining whether waste can be accepted at inert, non-hazardous, or hazardous landfill sites. Results are presented against the Landfill Directive thresholds to ensure compliance.

Asbestos Testing

Using polarised light microscopy (PLM) and gravimetric analysis, we identify asbestos fibers, fragments, and content in soils, aggregates, and construction materials. Testing ensures compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

Geotechnical Testing

Our geotechnical laboratory services include particle size distribution, compaction testing, density and absorption, flakiness, and shape index in accordance with BS EN standards. These tests provide critical data on soil and aggregate performance for construction and engineering applications.

WRAP Compliance Testing

To ensure recycled materials meet WRAP Quality Protocol requirements, we conduct compliance testing that covers grading, contamination levels, and chemical suitability, ensuring recycled aggregates are fit for re-use in construction projects.
