An MMP is a critical requirement under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste: Code of Practice (DoWCoP). We prepare robust Material Management Plans that outline the sourcing, treatment, reuse, and disposal of excavated materials, ensuring compliance with DoWCoP and reducing reliance on landfill.

Our intrusive investigations include borehole drilling, trial pits, soil and groundwater sampling, and in-situ testing. Phase 2 investigations provide the data necessary for risk assessment, remediation design, and compliance with planning or permitting requirements.

We design tailored remediation strategies to address site-specific contamination risks. Approaches may include soil treatment, excavation and disposal, capping layers, or groundwater remediation, all aligned with EA/SEPA/NRW regulatory frameworks.

Identifying and quantifying contamination hotspots is critical to risk management. Using a combination of laboratory analysis, in-situ screening, and GIS mapping, we delineate areas of elevated contamination to target remedial works with precision, reducing costs and unnecessary soil disposal.

Following site works or remediation, a verification report provides documented evidence that the project has achieved its environmental objectives. Reports include laboratory test data, site records, and photographic evidence to demonstrate compliance with regulators and stakeholders.

A Phase 1 Desk Study is the foundation of environmental due diligence. We review historical land use, geology, hydrology, and environmental records to identify potential contamination risks. This step is often essential for planning applications, liability assessments, and to determine the need for intrusive site investigations.
